FAQ for Therapy for Wellness
Getting Started
Q: How do I schedule my first appointmet?
You can request an appointment directly through my booking calendar or reach out via the contact form. Once scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details about how to join your telehealth session.
Q: Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. I provide a 15-minute video consultation so you can ask questions and decide if working together feels like a good fit.
Q: What can I expect in the first session?
Your first session is a safe, non-judgmental space to share what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask a few questions to understand your goals, strengths, and challenges, and together we’ll outline a plan moving forward.

Q: What issues do you specialize in?
I support individuals, couples, and families with challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship conflict, parenting struggles, women’s issues, and self-esteem.
Q: What therapy approaches do you use?
I practice Integrative Therapy, drawing from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, Attachment-based, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems approaches. I adapt each session to best support your unique needs.
Q: How long does therapy take?
Every client is different. Some people see meaningful change in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll check in regularly to evaluate progress and goals.
Q: How often should I attend therapy?
Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then move to bi-weekly or monthly as progress continues. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that feels sustainable for you.

Online Therapy (Telehealth)
Q: How does telehealth therapy work?
Sessions are held via a secure video platform. You’ll receive a private link before your appointment and can join from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Q: Is telehealth effective?
Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and stress management.
Q: What if I’m not comfortable with technology?
Don’t worry — I’ll provide step-by-step instructions. If you run into technical difficulties, we’ll work together to troubleshoot so you feel supported.
Confidentiality & Policies
Q: Is therapy confidential?
Absolutely. Everything you share is private and confidential, with exceptions only in cases where safety is at risk (harm to self or others, or as required by law).
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to the full session fee.
Q: Can I contact you between sessions?
You can email or leave a voicemail with non-urgent questions. I’ll respond as soon as possible during business hours. For emergencies, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
For Couples & Families
Q: Do both partners need to attend every couples therapy session?
In most cases, yes — sessions are designed to give both partners space to share and grow together. Occasionally, individual check-ins may be useful.
Q: Who should attend family therapy sessions?
This depends on your goals. Sometimes all family members attend, while other times only those directly involved in a challenge participate. We’ll decide together what works best.
Results & Next Steps
Q: How will I know if therapy is working?
You may notice improvements in your mood, coping skills, relationships, or overall sense of well-being. We’ll set goals together and check in regularly on your progress.
Q: What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?
That’s okay. Every therapist and approach is different. My integrative, flexible style allows us to find what works best for you.
